Lycatel is a global leader in prepaid international telecommunications, serving millions of customers in 16 countries around the world.
The mobile virtual network operator focuses on international calls through their range of services, including calling cards, mobile services and money transaction services. Together with their flagship mobile brand, Lycamobile, the company generates 23 billion minutes of retail voice traffic each year.
A suite of localised websites
Guildhawk helped Lycatel with the relaunch of their Lycamobile websites. In order to give their international customers a consistent brand experience, the company required digital localisation. The project encompassed translations, for a number of headlines and navigation bars, from the original English into 14 languages including Romanian, Portuguese and Hindi.
Our flexible project management ensured complete consistency of quality and delivery and, thanks to our efforts, the text was delivered within a week and Lycatel’s websites went live shortly afterwards.
Given the urgency with which the new websites were required, we assembled a team of 29 linguists and proofreaders with telecommunications expertise. Since then, the company has continued to grow and cement its position in the international marketplace, and Guildhawk have continued to work with Lycatel. More recently, we have collaborated on further website copy, marketing materials and advertisement banners, both digital and in traditional print media.
