Detailed engineering expertise

The firm had recently won an oilfield services contract to provide one of their clients in Kazakhstan with an upgraded control system. The engineering project spanned three languages – English, Kazakh and Russian – and would encompass a large volume of technical drawings, detailed documentation and schedules.

Guildhawk sourced bilingual engineers fluent in Russian and Kazakh, with the expertise in AutoCAD and the oilfield sector to work across such a broad range of project-critical materials.

Our expertise

Guildhawk sourced bilingual engineers fluent in Russian and Kazakh, with the expertise in AutoCAD and the oilfield sector to work across such a broad range of project-critical materials. We worked directly on technical drawings in CAD to ensure there could be no errors due to the importing or exporting of data. And, because of the sheer volume of outputs, we employed dynamic project management strategies.

The project, which was delivered on time, eventually grew to contain around 610 documents, 1,000 CAD drawings, wiring schedules, functional design specifications and label schedules in bilingual formats. We retained the same team of linguists throughout the length of the project to ensure consistency and so that Wood could deliver a cost-effective solution that met their client’s needs.
